Year 2

Vegetable Kebabs

This week, Year 2 have been designing their vegetable kebabs in response to a request from Savoury Tooth Sally, an infamous female pirate, who loves savoury food.  Building on the success of their fruit kebab (made for Sweet Tooth Sid), the children received a letter from Sid's cousin, Sally.  They tasted different vegetables both raw and cooked, before they made their decision on which to include on the kebab they were going to make for Sally.  Sally has asked for a kebab with a selection of red, green and black (or purple) vegetables and a variety of textures.  We are going to be making vegetable kebabs and some sauces/dips next week.  If you'd like to see some examples of the fruit kebabs the children made, just visit their Google Classroom page as these have been uploaded onto the stream.
