Year 2

Year 2

It's full steam ahead with the Year 2 SATs and all of the children are doing such a great job, with the positivity and resilience we know they all have.  Well done all of Year 2 - almost done!  Even though they are working so hard on their SATs, the children also had some time for some other learning - this includes investigating the importance of exercise in science, telling the time in maths and making vegetable kebabs in design technology (see the results on your child's Google Classroom) as well as practising for the Kingston and Richmond Country Dancing Festival and the KMS Infant Singing Festival.  Tickets for the latter are now available on the Rose Box Office website.  One highlight of the week was undertaking historical research for our local history unit on the importance of the aviation industry in Kingston.  The children worked in groups to read about this and then presented their information to the rest of the class.  This follows on from research using old photographs and old maps as historical sources.  The children are thoroughly enjoying learning about the history of the local area.   A very productive week!
