We have reached the end of term! What a week it has been. The children worked incredibly hard. 

I know they are looking forward to a lovely break over the festive period. 

This week, we went to Abbeyfield Care home in New Malden and we sang to the residents. We split into two mixed Year 1 and 2 groups and went into four different wings of the home where we sang our Christmas production songs to all the residents. It was a lovely experience for the children, albeit incredibly hot!!

Thank you to those of you who took time out to walk with us. It was very much appreciated. 

During the final week of school, we learnt about John McAdam in science, we continued our learning about the Christian Christmas story, and we started a new guided reading text called Flying High. 

In addition, we used our knowledge of algorithms to move a character around a maze, played some fun team games in PE using mats to travel across the New Hall, and just before we finished for the term, we celebrated with a Christmas party. The children earned this by getting 100 Whole Class Party Points in 2AC and 60 Whole Class Party Points in 2JD.
