Autumn Term Parent Consultations
Coming up before half-term we will be holding our Autumn Term parent consultation meetings for children in Years 1 to 6. You will be able to book a 10 minute consultation meeting with your child’s class teacher between 15:30 and 18:30 on either Tuesday 21st October or Thursday 23rd October. Parents with children in Blossom can book for a meeting with the Blossom team and your mainstream classteacher. Blossom Green and Red staff will not be available on the 23rd October and so are hosting an additional session at the same times on Thursday 16th October. It is very important that all parents are able to attend so please speak to your child’s class teacher if you are unable to make the planned sessions so that an alternative time can be arranged. Bookings are made through your Arbor account and will be accessible from 18:30 this afternoon.

Important Safeguarding Notice: Children’s “Spy” Books
We want to make you aware of a recent issue affecting some popular children’s books by Andrew Cope, including the Spy Dogs, Spy Cats, and Spy Pups series.
Some editions of these books include a printed web address at the back. This link used to go to the author’s website, but the domain is no longer under his control. It has since been taken over by another party and now leads to inappropriate adult content.
The publisher, Puffin, has paused sales and distribution of the books and is working with schools, libraries, and retailers to remove copies from circulation. They have stressed that the website has no connection to the author or publisher.
What this means for you:
If your child has any Spy Dog, Spy Cat or Spy Pups books at home, please check the back for website links and make sure they do not try to visit the site.
It is safe for children to continue reading the stories themselves — the concern is only with the outdated link.
We recommend talking with your child about the importance of not following web addresses in books without checking with an adult first.
We will continue to share updates from the publisher as more information becomes available.

Free Local Dental Check-Up - Triangle Dental Clinic (KT1 3RU)

By focusing on prevention and education, our Give Kids a Smile Day on 30th Oct 2025 at our practice on The Triangle is designed to support and equip local families with the knowledge and resources needed to help children maintain healthy smiles for life. Those early dental visits with a friendly-faced dentist will help children to become familiar with dental care, reducing anxiety in future visits and making it easier to maintain regular check-ups into adulthood.
To register your interest, contact us by emailing:
reception.triangle@colosseumdental.co.uk providing your name and a contact phone number, quoting ‘GKAS’ in the email.
Taekwon-Do Club at King's Oak

The London TKD School Clubs are an exciting children's martial arts programme at the cutting edge of character building and life skills development. Throughout the term, students will learn a variety of self-defence techniques, specifically designed for realistic situations that children find themselves in. These classes also help develop a positive attitude through learning, meditation, mindfulness and confidence building exercises.
How to get started?
Simply visit our website and select "Get Started", then follow through the booking
instructions to select your school and start date.
Once you have booked, your child’s name and details will be added to our
coaches register ready for their first class. With our special joining offer you will be charged £10 for 2 weeks and then the ongoing classes are £10.50 weekly.
What does my child need to wear and bring?
Please wear some comfortable, loose fitted clothing (PE kit) and bring along
a bottle of water.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child, we are looking forward to
welcoming them in for their first class with us!
Another very busy and productive week - the children are doing brilliantly. Thank you for your continued support - only two weeks left until the half-term break! Please remember to complete the sign-up for your child to have their flu vaccine - the link was sent out in an email earlier in the week.
