Works to the school frontage
You may have noticed this week that the school grounds maintenance team have been making some drastic changes to the shrubbery at the front of the school. These works have been designed to improve the look of the school from the outside - we want to promote the existence of our amazing school, we get lots of visitors who didn't even know we were here! It also makes it safer for pedestrians as they are now visible to vehicles exiting the car-park.

Parent Governor Election
We currently have a vacancy on the Governing Board for a Parent Governor. Any parent or guardian of a pupil at our school can stand as a candidate. Becoming a parent governor is a rewarding opportunity to give back to the local community and use your skills and experience to ensure that our pupils get the best possible education. Full training and support are provided. In line with our school's Safer Recruitment process, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and two character references will be sought if successfully elected. If you are interested in standing to become a Parent Governor, please contact the Clerk to the Governing Board - clerk@kop.rbksch.org to request an information pack and nomination form. PSA Non-Uniform Day (13th June)
Ahead of the PSA Summer Fair taking place on Saturday 21st June, the PSA are holding a non-uniform day next Friday 13th June. In return for your child being able to come to school in non-uniform, the PSA are collecting donations for the Summer Fair. For children in the Early Years and KS1 they would like donations of sweets and chocolate. For children in KS2 the donations should be a bottle for the tombola - these should be something that someone would like to win as a prize; wine, beer, sauces, soft drinks, toiletries etc. Please no empty bottles! Thank you in advance for your support with this PSA non-uniform day.

I hope that you all had a lovely half-term break. It has been great to hear about all the fun things that the children got up to during the holiday. The final half-term of the school year has started well and I look forward to the many exciting events that we have got to fit into the final six weeks of the school year!
