Thank you to everyone who has already purchased your tickets for the PSA Discos next Friday. They are always brilliant and I look forward to seeing everyone there in their comfy clothes for groovy dancing and fun times! Tickets are on sale after school in the KS2 playground, under the canopy, or please email the PSA directly if you need an online ticket purchase - psa.kopsch@gmail.com.

Emotional Regulation
Following the success of our recent coffee morning/workshop for parents and carers, we are excited to let you know about our next one. Shakira Pierre, from the Mental Health Support Team will be facilitating a workshop to support you to help your child with emotional regulation. This is directed at children in EYFS and KS1. Please let Ms Fossey or Ms Balendran know if you'd like to attend.

Operation Encompass
This is to remind you that we are working in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police Service as part of their legal commitments under Operation Encompass. Operation Encompass is the notification to schools that a child (under 18) has been exposed to, or involved in, any domestic incident. This includes incidents where the child/young person was not present but is part of the household. This will ordinarily be done by the start of the next school day.
Operation Encompass will ensure that a specially trained member of the school staff, known as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), is informed. The DSL can then use the information that has been shared, in confidence, to ensure the wellbeing of the child. The school may be able to make provisions or adjustments to assist the child and their family. We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our pupils and we believe this will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.

St. John's New Malden Christmas Fair - tomorrow!
Please remember to support St. John's Church with their Christmas Fair tomorrow. They are hugely supportive to our school and PSA and so it would be wonderful if members of our community could repay this kindness by attending the fair - it sounds like lots of fun.

Flu Immunisation
Thank you to everyone who booked for your child to have their flu vaccine in school this week. If you missed this opportunity, the NHS are hosting some catch-up sessions for anyone who would still like to get a vaccine. Details are below and you can follow this link to find out how to book an appointment.

Cold Weather
Now that the winter season has properly arrived, please can we remind all families to ensure that your child has a coat to wear at school. We've had several children this week feeling a bit chilly in the playground at lunchtime and breaktime as they didn't bring a coat to school. If you need support with this, the PSA are currently selling coats in the playground after school.
Governor Updates
On Thursday night we held our Autumn Term meeting of the full governing board. It was a very productive and interesting meeting. Governors were pleased to be able to support the school with their donations towards the PSA Christmas raffle - look out for some brilliant prizes! They were also keen to find out more about upcoming school events such as assemblies, visits and performances - they are looking forward to attending visits to support in making them possible and enjoying seeing the children shine in their shows!
