Year 3 Boys Football Competition

Congratulations to our team of footballers from Year 3 who represented King's Oak at a borough competition this week.  They tried their best and worked well as a team to show good defending and goal-seeking opportunities in each match.  They didn't make it through to the finals but we are proud of their efforts and they were brilliantly supported by families who came along to watch the event.

Harmoni Dentist visit to Year 4

Year 4 had a visit this week from our local Harmoni Dentist on Kingston Road.  They learnt everything about how to become a dentist and what the “good” and “bad” bacteria are for our teeth and gums. They also learnt about the different types of diseases and illnesses that can affect our teeth and how they happen. One of the most interesting things they learnt was what to do if an adult tooth gets knocked out. They discovered how to carefully put it back or keep it safe so it might be saved instead of being lost!  As well as offering us this great session for our children, they are also offering a discount for the King's Oak community - please see details about this below.

Dickerage Lane Road Closure

It is great that our school road has now reopened, hopefully making journeys to and from school easier and safer.  Thank you for your patience and support during the period of the closure and to those of you who ensured your child was in school on time despite the diversions and traffic chaos caused by the roadworks.

Newsletter Readership

Thanks again to every dedicated member of our community who reads the newsletter each week.  As a reward, please click this link for an opportunity for a prize after Easter.

End of Term

The Spring Term has been very busy and has gone past very quickly.  The children have had lots of great opportunities for learning, visits, sports events and fun in school.  I look forward to seeing everyone for the start of the Summer Term on Tuesday 14th April.  Have a wonderful Easter break - try and keep up the reading and learning over the holiday too - especially Year 6 in preparation for the KS2 SATs in May!

Thank you.
