Year 6 visit to the Rose Theatre
On Monday, Year 6 were lucky enough to take part in the London Schools Literature Festival by attending an author talk at the Rose Theatre in Kingston. They got to see Matt Goodfellow, poet and author who told them about his journey to becoming an author - his career started as a primary school teacher! He shared some of his favourite poems and gave the children insight into the power and wonderful features of poetry.

Heatwave
Thank you to everyone for your support during the heatwave this week. The
children have managed brilliantly by making sure that they kept hydrated and being responsible by keeping inside or out of the direct sun at break and lunch times. Thank you to our parents for keeping your children in school and taking the opportunity for an early collection to help support your child. Thanks to the catering team for providing all the children with an ice-lolly at lunchtime today - they certainly helped keeping everyone cool in the dining room! Next week the weather forecast looks much more favourable so hopefully all our routines can return to normal.
PSA Summer Fair
Huge apologies to everyone affected by the need to postpone the PSA Summer Fair to September. In particular to the PSA members who have spent hours preparing resources and organising prizes and stalls. Hopefully the weather on Friday 18th September will be perfect for playing games, using the bouncy castles, winning prizes and having lots of community fun. Please make sure that you keep this date protected in your diary so that you can support the PSA and help raise much needed funds for the school.
