Harvest Festival
Next Wednesday (14th October) we will be holding our school Harvest Festival event. If possible, please can you send in a donation for Brite Box - any long life food item - tinned or packet food. Please don't send in anything fresh as we'll not be able to share this with them. The Brite Box charity do a lot to support families in our local area and this year, our Year 4 families have been given the opportunity to benefit from their scheme - I very much hope that we will have a significant amount of food items that we can send to them to show our appreciation and support.

Well Being Ambassadors

Well done to the four members of Year 6 who are now qualified as Wellbeing Ambassadors. They took part in the Primary Mental Health conference this week at Southborough High School and represented King's Oak brilliantly. They had to take part in quizzes, problem-solving activities and provide lots of evidence of their understanding of mental health and wellbeing. They also used the time at the conference to complete an action plan of ideas for how they can support all the other pupils at King's Oak - they will be talking through the plan with the rest of the children in an assembly in the near future.
PSA Halloween Disco - Friday 16th October

Thank you to everyone who has already purchased your tickets for the PSA Halloween Disco taking place next Friday after school. The final chance to buy a ticket in person will be after school on Monday - the PSA stall will be in the KS2 Playground under the canopy between the Yr 3/4 and Yr 5/6 buildings. If you are unable to buy your ticket directly from the PSA you can email them to make an online purchase - the cut off date for this will be Wednesday 14th October so that they have enough chance to buy the right quantity of drinks and snacks. I am sure it will be a great event and I look forward to seeing the children have lots of fun at it. psa.kopsch@gmail.com
