NEU Industrial Action
Hopefully you have already seen the communication from the school regarding the NEU strike action taking place on Wednesday next week (01/02/2023).  To remind you that the school will be closed for all pupils on this day - however, if we have enough staff on site to support children, we will notify you by ParentMail so that if possible you can bring your child to school.

Parking
Can I please remind everyone again about appropriate parking outside the school.  We have had a period of lots of presence of traffic officers which has temporarily alleviated some of the problems, but if they are not there, the parking on the pavements and crossing continues. I’ve been re-reading the Highway Code and it clearly states as Rule 191 - You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines.  It is vital that we work together to keep our community safe by keeping the pavements and crossing clear for all pedestrians.  Remember that you are able to park safely and for free in the Aldi / Matalan car-park which is a very short walk to school.

Sports Clubs
Please see the details below of the Sports Cool after school clubs that will be starting soon.  Use the contact information to book a space on these popular clubs.

Have a great weekend, I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

King's Oak Primary School
Year 3 took a trip down to Kingston Wagamama linked to their learning on healthy eating in science. The children had the opportunity to make fresh juices using a range of fruit and vegetables. After, they had a go at using chopsticks and trying unique Japanese inspired ingredients such as udon noodles, kimchi and bamboo. Then, the children used weighing scales to measure 20 grams of mange tout, sweetcorn and red pepper, which the chefs turned into an amazing dish in the kitchen, mixing it with noodles, chicken or tofu. It tasted delicious! Thank you to all the staff at wagamama for their lovely hospitality and catering for all our children with dietary requirements!
