Year 4 Bikeability

Well done to the children in Year 4 who took part in the Bikeability programme this week. They have worked incredibly hard and showed impressive cycling skills when pedalling around the school site.  Some of the children went from having never cycled before to being confident riders - great work everyone!

Brite Box free activities in the Bentall Centre

The BRITE Box team will be at the Bentall Centre on Saturday the 2nd, 9th and 16th December from 11:00 to 4:00 with free Christmas decoration making workshops, recipes and activities. We would love to see you there. Please come and say hello! Please follow this link for further information.

Clubs

Thank you to everyone who has been attending our range of clubs this term - they have been very popular and successful.  We are working on the offer for the Spring Term which will be shared with you as soon as possible.  Please note that next week (week beginning Monday 4th December) will be the last week of clubs - there are no clubs in the last two weeks of term.

PSA Volunteers Needed for Christmas Grotto

The PSA are working incredibly hard to get the grotto ready for Santa's arrival at King's Oak next Thursday - it is already looking incredible! To ensure that the grotto sessions are able to run, we need to get some more volunteers to support Santa.  There are different slots available, if you are able to spare half an hour or an hour that would be wonderful and really support the PSA and the school.  To volunteer, please follow this link to the website to see the slots and add your name - thank you in advance for your support.

Helping children with challenging behaviours webinar
Children often communicate their needs through their behaviours. The ‘Helping Children with challenging behaviours’ webinar will help you to learn about the different factors that can impact children's behaviours, build or strengthen positive relationships by reinforcing the importance of giving positive attention. You will also learn strategies to establish home rules and boundaries to create a safe and structured environment for your child/ren.

What will the ‘Helping Children with challenging behaviours’ webinar cover?
● The different factors influencing children's behaviours
● Strategies to build positive relationships and encourage prosocial behaviours
● Evidence-based techniques to reduce undesirable behaviours
● Emotional regulation
