Staffing Structure 2024/2025

I am pleased to be able to share with you the staffing structure for the next academic year.  As you are already aware, there are some changes to the leadership structure as Mrs Vivian and Mrs Hawthorne will be leaving us at the end of term.  For next year, we will have an interim leadership team as we determine a longer term structure for the school.  Miss Russ will become our Deputy Headteacher. Ms Fossey will be Assistant Headteacher in charge of Key Stage 1 and SENCO for KS1 and KS2.  Mrs Balendran will become Assistant Headteacher in charge of Early Years and SENCO for EYFS.

The classteacher model will be as below:

Attached with the newsletter you will have received a copy of the staff profile sheet.  Hopefully, this will give you some further information about your child's new teacher if you have not yet met them.  The children have been informed about their new teachers today and will get time to work with them between now and the end of term as part of our transition support for all pupils.

The annual reports will be ready to be sent out next week.  After school on Wednesday 17th July there will be an opportunity for you to discuss your child's report with their classteacher. You can also use this time to visit your child's new teacher - they'd love you to pop in and say hello.

Sports Days

Thank you to parents who have been able to join us for the new format sports mornings that have already taken place.  The feedback has been positive and the children have certainly engaged with the competitive events and all tried hard to earn points for sportsmanship too!  Weather permitting, there will be the final ones next week.

Book Fair Thanks

Thank you for all your support during last week's Scholastic Book Fair.

As you may know, we earn a percentage back in books. So the more books we sell the more books we get, for free, for our school!

Your purchases totalled £641.79 and therefore, we earned £256.72 in free books for our library and classrooms.

Thank you for encouraging a love of reading in your children. Look out for some fantastic new books in our library from September!

Intensive Swimming Lessons at the Malden Centre

Please see the details below for some intensive swimming lessons over the summer holiday taking place at the Malden Centre.  Please contact them for further information.

St. John's Church - Summer Fun Day

Get this date in your diary for a free summer fun event taking place at our local church - please head along to support them if you can.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Attendance Matters!

It has been a challenging week for attendance - there seem to be a lot of bugs going round! No classes managed to get above our 97% target.  However, well done to our top three performers this week.

1st - 1FS - 95%

2nd - 5AS - 93.1%

3rd - 2AC - 93%
