The children took on the big job of helping to clean up the playground. Using different tools and resources, they worked together to make our outdoor space sparkle. It was a great opportunity to talk about teamwork and taking care of the place we play in. 

We have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk, and the children really enjoyed diving into this magical story. One of the highlights was joining in with the giant's famous line - "Fee Fi Fo Fum!" We also explored the new word "magnificent" and used it to describe all kinds of wonderful things. 

In addition, we have been learning about personal boundaries and how to respect each other's space. We listened to the Boundaries Song -"That's a Boundary" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSFvJbSQdA4. We have been learning how to manage feelings and have been encouraging children to use the phrase "Please stop, I don't like that" if someone is doing something that makes them uncomfortable.
