This week the children continued reading The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. We watched some real news reports of whales becoming stuck and people helping to rescue them. Throughout the week, the children role-played different characters from the story and the rest of the class interviewed them as if they were on the news. They also wrote up a news report explaining what had happened and what the different characters could have said.
