Nursery

Exploring, Experimenting & Enjoying Together!

We’ve had a wonderful time in Nursery this week with lots of hands-on learning and exploring!

The children really enjoyed exploring a variety of vegetables. They used our nursery resources, like toy knives to safely cut and chop the vegetables. It was a fantastic way to practise their fine motor skills and talk about healthy foods.

We also spent time learning about ice and melting. Each child had to hold a piece of ice and describe how it felt. They came up with some brilliant words like “cold,” “freezing,” “slippery,” and “hard.” We also left some ice outside in the sunny weather and the children were excited to see it slowly melt all by itself. It was a lovely way to see how sunshine and heat can change ice into water. What brilliant little scientists we have in Nursery!

We ended our session with a yummy ice lolly—just the thing to cool us down after all that busy learning and exploring!
