We have had another busy week of learning in Pre-School. This week we became construction workers. We started by ensuring we were safe by wearing our high-visibility jackets and helmets and set to work building. The children decided on building a car. We learnt about teamwork as we passed the waffle blocks to each other and shared ideas. We were using our problem-solving skills as we worked out how to fit each block together. This turned into a role-play opportunity as we played, driving the car to different locations and imagining where we could go. 

Outside, we have also been creating lovely pictures on the floor using chalk. The children drew rainbows, houses and aeroplanes. This carried on into our art area where the children enjoyed painting wonderful pictures and artwork which they were keen to take home.  

Next week we will be reading Pip and Posy the Super Scooter. This is a charming story about being a good friend.
