Both new classes in Year 1 have had a fantastic first few days in school! The children have already been showing their amazing knowledge of phonics, reading, writing and - as you can see from the photo - knowledge of numbers up to five. We are delighted with what we are seeing from the children so far and are looking forward to a very successful term. For next week, Wednesday is PE day, so please ensure that your child comes to school in correct PE kit. We will also be starting reading next Wednesday morning, when parents and carers will be welcome to join us in the classrooms between 8.45 and 9am to share a book with your child. We would like to wish all our families a very relaxing weekend and look forward to another great week from Monday.
