Year 2 have settled in really well this week. They have all been learning the expectations, rules and routines of the year group. We have drawn up class charters, practised our phonics and enjoyed catching up with friends. 

In RE the children have been learning about communities and what they are and why they are important. 

In maths, they have learnt the ten-ness of 10 and recapped multiples of 10. They have also started to look at the beginnings of measure. 

In our art lessons, the children have been learning to draw a self-portrait, improve on a first draft by listening to constructive feedback from their peers. 

We have also learnt about the Zones of Regulation and Growth Mindset.
