This week, we have started our art unit for the Autumn Term. We will be producing our own portraits in the style of Tudor portraiture. We started by recapping faint and heavy lines, looking at which parts of our arm and hand we use to create lines when drawing. We revisited proportion of facial features and deepened our knowledge of this. Did you know that the gap between your eyes is the same as the width of one of your eyes? Later in the term, we will be looking at watercolour techniques we can use to create our final portrait.
