What a wonderful week in Reception! Thank you for all your support helping to settle your children in. They are really starting to enjoy their routines and finding their place with other children while making new friends. 

This week we have been reading the story of Ravi's Roar, it's a story about a little boy who gets angry and how he calms down. We have been acting and talking and playing with the children all around feelings this week and using breathing strategies to help give a structure if they are feeling unsettled. 

Next week we are starting to introduce our phonics lessons. This will mainly be around using a pen and whiteboard before we start teaching the sounds and letters in the coming weeks.
