This week in preparation for Diwali next week the children have been busy making tea light holders. The children helped to make salt dough and combine all of the ingredients together and then we created a tea light holder. We have left them to dry over the weekend and they should be dry in time for the children to paint and add glitter to them next week before we send them home. 

Also the children loved working together to produce a group painting. The children were provided with different colours of paint and paint brushes and then it was up to them to decide on what to create. We had some fantastic ideas of using cars to roll across the paper, painting of hands to print and also mixing paint together to form different colours. 

Next week we are reading Little Pumpkins and exploring pumpkins. We will also be reading books about Diwali and taking part in different activities linked to Diwali celebrations.
