Year 6

Computing
This week in computing we have been researching the history of computers. As part of this, we have researched Iphones, NES, BBC Micro, Nintendo and IBM computers, looking at the date invented, their purpose and where it was invented. Linking this back to our World War 2 topic, we have looked further into the invention of the Colossus and how important this was to decoding messages from the enemy. Working collaboratively has allowed us to share ideas and prepare information ready for infographic timelines.
Next week we will be:
-
Science; Continuing to investigate the fact that light travels in straight lines,
-
PSHE; Sterotypes,
-
Topic; Factors affecting life for children during WW2,
-
DT; evaluating types of bomb shelters from WW2.
