Year 5

Anti-Bullying Week: The Power for Good!

This week, Year 5 have been learning all about Anti-Bullying Week and this year’s theme “The Power for Good.” We’ve been talking about how each of us has the power to make a difference by being kind, speaking up, and helping others. The children shared some fantastic ideas about how small actions can have a big impact — from including someone at playtime, to standing up for a friend, or simply offering a smile. In our class discussions and activities, we explored what bullying looks like, how it makes people feel, and most importantly, what we can do to stop it. The children acted out scenarios showing how to be an upstander, not a bystander, and how to use their voices for good. We also designed “Power for Good” socks using empowering vocabulary to remind everyone in school that kindness, respect, and courage can change someone’s day — or even their life!
