This week, Year 1 have started a new class book in English- Giraffes Can't Dance, a story with an important theme of open vs closed mindset. We have been learning how to use colourful semantics to help us build sentences using the structure of Who? What doing? What with? Where? We have also been learning about the importance of getting these words in the correct order for our sentence to make sense, and have been practising in groups as you can see in the picture above. Just a quick reminder that Year 1 will be visiting St John's Church next Friday, 5th December, to learn about Advent.
