This week, we introduced our toothbrushing programme with our new starters. The children were very excited to brush and clean their teeth, and they took part with lots of enthusiasm.

We also started reading the story “Peace at Last.” The children enjoyed guessing why Mr Bear couldn’t sleep and made thoughtful links to their own feelings. They shared ideas such as feeling tired and finding it hard to sleep because of different noises around them.

In maths, we have been learning about the number 2 and how to write it in the air and on the whiteboard. We learnt a fun way to form the number 2, by drawing a candy cane and giving it a shoe! Please practise this with your child at home to support their learning.

We have also started practising writing names on the whiteboard, especially with children who will be going to Reception class soon, to help build their confidence and early writing skills.
