Year 6

Computing
This week we have been continuing to develop our knowledge, understanding and application of loops and nested loops when programming. We have been applying our problem solving skills when inspecting codes: identifying errors and correcting them. Using the real life example of tessellation (Islamic art), we have worked collaboratively to use Python to create a piece of artwork. Decomposing a programme using nested loops, we were able to remix it to contain different shapes and colours.
Next week we will:
-
Explore inherited and environmental characteristics in science,
-
Taking part in a range of activities around Little People Big Dreams for World Book Day on Wednesday,
-
Continuing to look at the effects of climate change in topic,
-
Learning to tell the time in French.
