The children really enjoyed listening to our story called We’re Going On A Bear Hunt. We have been going on an adventure through the story. While reading the story, we went through the different scenes and the children had the opportunity to feel different textures as we moved the characters through grass, mud, a river, snowstorm and the forest. We listened to the different sounds as the mud squelched, the water splashed and the grass swished. Outside, we built an obstacle course to learn about over, under and through, just like in our story and the children quickly picked up on key phrases from listening to our story. 

With some nice weather this week, the children have also been very busy in the water area playing together, transporting water into different containers and mark making on the ground, making pictures and marks using the water.
