Year 6

Topic and World Book Day
This week in topic we have considered what humans need to thrive through acting in a role to build empathy. We have looked at the island Tuvalu and discussed the impact climate change is having on it. Then, we were assigned roles including president, banker, hotel owner and marine biologist to act out a debate on tourism and climate change.
Another exciting day for us this week has been World Book Day. We have enjoyed completing a carousel of activities based around the theme of Little People, Big Dreams focusing on our dreams and how they compare to others.
Next week we will:
-
Describe key adaptations of animals in science,
-
Writing the time in French,
-
Developing attacking tactics in netball,
-
Exploring descriptive narration for animal documentaries in English.
