Year 4

London Docklands Museum
This week, Year 4 enjoyed an exciting trip to Canary Wharf where we visited the Docklands Museum to take part in a Victorian Life workshop, linking to our history learning from last term. The children had the opportunity to handle real artefacts and explore different parts of the museum to deepen their understanding of life in the past.
During the visit, pupils travelled around the museum discovering a variety of fascinating exhibits. They explored Victorian streets, examined whaling equipment, and even had the chance to sit inside a World War II bunker, which gave them a small preview of some of the learning we will cover in the future in Year 6. The children were incredibly engaged and asked some fantastic questions throughout the day.
A big thank you to all the parent helpers who joined us and for your continued support on trips like this. Your help makes these opportunities possible and is greatly appreciated.
Next week, our focus will shift to geography. We will begin exploring climates, biomes and different environments around the world, learning how these shape the way people and animals live.
