Year 3 have been busy developing their scientific skills through a series of exciting experiments all about plants. We have been exploring how water is transported through plants by using celery, observing closely as coloured water travelled up the stems. The children also investigated what plants need to survive by planting six different pots, each missing one essential element: air, water, soil, light, or space. Over time, we will carefully observe the changes and discuss our findings.
