Year 3

Shree Ganapathy Temple

As part of our RE learning on Hinduism, we visited the Shree Ganapathy Temple in Wimbledon. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu god - Ganesha. In our RE lessons, we learnt how Ganesha got his elephant head. During our time at the temple, we were able to walk around and look at the various deities. We also observed people taking part in worship, which is called puja where they recite prayers in Sanskrit and make offerings to the gods. We enjoyed our visit at the temple and learnt lots of new things.
