In English this week we have been developing character profiles using information from the text. We have particularly focused on the characters of Katniss and Effie. Using our summarising skills, we have determined the five main events from the reaping and then imagined what each character would think about the events and why. We have read the first two chapters of the book and have considered what may happen next. 

Next week we will be: 

• Exploring Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution in science, 

• Continuing to improve our reading fluency in guided reading, 

• Developing our attacking and defending skills in netball.
