Year 4

From Puzzles to Plato
This week, we have been exploring computational thinking, with a particular focus on decomposition. The children practised breaking down problems into smaller, manageable parts by completing puzzles and discussing how this skill can be applied in everyday life. It was great to see them working collaboratively and developing their problem-solving confidence.
In history, we began our new topic on Ancient Greece. The class started by organising key events into a timeline, helping them build an understanding of when this fascinating civilisation existed and how it fits into the wider context of history. Next week we will be focusing on understanding that Ancient Greece was not a unified country but a collection of competing city states.
As we head into next week, please ensure your child comes prepared for swimming with the appropriate kit, including a swimsuit, towel, and any other necessary items.
I hope you all have a wonderful and restful weekend.
