In our science learning this week, Year 1 have been finding out about the two main groups of trees – deciduous and evergreen. We have found out that evergreen trees drop their leaves and replace them throughout the year, while deciduous species shed their leaves every autumn and grow new ones every spring. We have also been exploring the school grounds to find examples of both types of tree. How many of each can you spot when out and about?
