Pre School

Messy Play
This week, the children have been exploring different textures in our builder's tray. We have been playing with cereal and encouraging the children to use their senses to describe what they can feel and hear. The children were introduced to new descriptive words such as “crunchy” and “snap” as they explored and investigated the different cereals. They enjoyed touching, pouring, scooping, and listening to the sounds the cereal made.
Also, we have been learning about positional language. To reinforce this, we have been playing a variety of games, including hide and seek. We encouraged the children to use words such as behind, under, on top of and beside to describe where the teddy bear was hiding.
Alongside this, the children have been enjoying painting and using glitter to create wonderful pictures to share with you at home.
