In Blossom Green, we began the week with recognising and identifying whole, half and quarter 2D shapes. We are now focussing on learning about fractions of quantity, working on half and quarter of a quantity, such as ½ of 8 is 4 and a ¼ of 8 is 2. We have been using manipulatives, such as Unifix cubes, to help us to visualise this. 

In Blossom Red, we have been learning to estimate and measure different lengths and heights using centimetres and metres. The children recorded their measurements in tables and compared their results.
