This week in English we have been planning a diary entry from the perspective of Katniss Everdeen. As part of this we have acted out scenes, created an emotions graph and worked in pairs to write a formal plan. Using thesauruses we have up-leveled feelings such as shock, fear and anger. 

In preparation for our end of year production, we have held auditions this week. The children have been enthusiastic and have tried their best to project their voices and act out a short scene. Scripts and lines will be sent home for homework over half term. 

After half term we will be: 

• Beginning rehearsals for the production, 

• Looking at the components of blood in science, 

• Starting athletics in PE, 

• Looking at the layout of Ancient Baghdad in topic.
