In our maths learning, Year 1 have been learning how to count in 2s from zero. We have started by counting in 2s up to 20 before progressing to count pairs of objects. This of course is the first stage in understanding the 2 times table. We then progressed to counting in 10s up to 100 and will then move on to counting in 5s up to 50. All this is in preparation for us learning how to recognise and use 2p, 10p and 5p coins in the near future.
