Year 4

Going With the Flow
This week, we had 4TH visit to the Hogsmill site where the children were able to see all of the machinery involved in water filtration. They also carried out their own experiment filtering water and discussed different ways we can help save water. They were fortunate enough to see the nature reserve and the small chicks recently born. This linked closely to our topic on the water cycle and helped deepen their understanding through real-life experiences. In maths, we have continued working on decimals, focusing on tenths and hundredths and linking them to fractions.
Next week, we will be wrapping up our work on decimals before moving on to angles. While we will also be exploring clouds and learning about the different cloud types, to continue on with the water cycle topic.
