What a hot week! This week in Reception we have been learning all about keeping safe in a heatwave. The children have learnt the value of water, suncream and hats! We have been keeping an eye on where we can play in the shade. We have been learning about temperature and humidity and watching and checking the numbers on thermometers and weather websites. The children have done really well drinking water during our water breaks and they've enjoyed the cooling effects of ice and water. 

We have been keeping track of our story "The Disgusting Sandwich" by practising our rehearsal. In maths we have kept practising our number bonds using various resources, including our RekenReks! We have added an interactive Rekenenrek on tapestry for you to practise with if you wish. Hopefully cooler weather will arrive and we will all be back to a bit more routine next week! Stay safe in the sun and keep cool.
