As part of the London Children's Literary Festival, both Year 1 classes were lucky enough to visit the Rose theatre on Monday, to meet Chitra Soundar. She is the author of Pattan's Pumpkin, one of our class books in Year 1. The children all greatly enjoyed the occasion and showed exemplary behaviour out of school and on public transport, on what was already a hot day. Of course, we are very aware that this has been a disrupted week due to the heatwave and would like to thank all parents and carers for their understanding. We look forward to a return to normality next week!
