In our history learning this month, we have been finding out about the life and achievements of Mary Seacole, who overcame prejudice towards her colour and founded her own hospital to care for sick and injured soldiers in the Crimean War. We thought carefully about the words that would describe her as a person, and also thought about the questions we would like to ask her about her life if we could. We would like to wish all our Year 1 families a relaxing half-term holiday and look forward to our next learning adventure together.
