Year 6

Climate Change

It has been a busy week, we have delved into new topics with enthusiasm and have demonstrated our knowledge in our practice SATs papers.

In geography this week we have begun a new topic all about climate change. In our talk partners, we have discussed what we already know about this topic and debated on the reliability and validity of some sources of information. To begin to understand the concept of the greenhouse effect, we designed and conducted a comparative test to measure temperature changes in water when exposed to different conditions. Using our mathematical skills we measured the temperature using thermometers, calculated the difference in degrees celsius, recorded our information in a table and then transferred this data into a graph.
