Year 4

Melting chocolate...

This week, Year 4 continued to investigate different states of matter, and how matter can change its state. We learnt what a fair test is to ensure our experiment was accurate. We changed only one variable which was the different temperature of the water. We all had chocolate in cold, warm and hot water, and we made observations for 8 minutes, noting the different changes to the chocolate after every 2 minutes. We noticed that the chocolate in the hot water started to melt the fastest, whereas the cold water did not melt the chocolate at all. We then wrote up our findings and produced a conclusion to our experiment.
