Year 6

Stress and worry
Over the next three weeks, we are very fortunate to have a practitioner from the Mental Health Support Team visiting Year 6. We had our first visit this week and they delivered a workshop all about Stress & Worry. We learnt how to spot the physical signs that we may be feeling stressed or worried. We also learnt about why our bodies do these things from an evolutionary perspective. The biggest surprise to Year 6 though, was that stress is very useful and that without it, we would not achieve the things we want and need to achieve. Next week, we will be looking at techniques we can use to help us cope with stress and worries.
