This week in geography we have been learning to locate and identify the hemispheres, the equator and lines of longitude and latitude using atlases. We have also built upon our Year 4 knowledge of the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn understanding that during the southern Summer solstice the sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn. We have learnt all about time zones and have applied our maths skills to determine the time in different counties when it is midday in England. 

Next week we will: 

• Performing to parents our Christmas concert on Monday, 

• Enjoying Christmas lunch and visiting the Rose Theatre on Wednesday, 

• Exploring the role of AI in everyday life in computing, 

• Continuing tag rugby games in PE.
