In English this week we have finished reading Breaker and begun our new unit of learning on The Hunger Games. Through collaborative learning, we have inferred and retrieved information using the front cover of the book and used these clues to predict what may happen. We have read the first chapter and have retrieved information on the Districts mentioned, applying this when drawing a map of the dystopian world of Panem. 

Next week we will be: 

• Continuing to improve our stamina in PE, 

• Writing thought bubbles in English from the perspective of two of the main characters, 

• Developing our comprehension skills to complete three mark questions in guided reading, 

• Revising arithmetic in maths.
