Year 6

Science
This week in science we have written short non-chronological reports all about Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution. We have researched Charles Darwin’s life as well as his theory, comparing it to other scientists at the time. We have applied key scientific vocabulary, including natural selection and inheritance, as well as drawing detailed diagrams to show our understanding.
Next week is SATs week for Year 6. A communication went out with information about the week. As in previous years, we will be running our SATs breakfast club. This is something that has been successful in the past and that children have found beneficial. We would like all children to attend the breakfast as it gives an opportunity for the children to be together and reduce any tension or anxieties there may be. There will be breakfast bars, toast, juice and water on the menu, ensuring everyone is ready to go for the day. It will be held in the Old Hall and doors open at 8:15am.
