This week in English and Guided Reading, we have been learning about air raids during WW2. We have listened to and watched footage of an air raid in London as well as reading all about an air raid in our class novel. We have discussed how people may have felt in different scenarios. We have then used our inference skills when looking at photographs from the time to infer people’s thoughts and feelings. 

On Thursday, we enjoyed building upon our knowledge of WW2 by visiting The Imperial War Museum in London. We had a fantastic day looking at different artefacts from the war as well as exploring children’s books set during different wars. 

Next week we will be: 

• Planning a newsflash in English, 

• Continuing to develop our inference skills in Guided Reading, 

• Planning our final watercolour in art.
