This week in topic we have been learning all about different types of air-raid shelters from WW2. In close reading, we have identified the reasons why the public would choose to use certain types of shelters by comparing advantages and disadvantages. We have debated if the government was effective in preparing civilians for the war, looking at the distribution of gas masks and shelters as well as the enforcement of blackouts. 

Next week we will be: 

• Starting to rehearse for our WW2 performance, 

• Beginning to build prototype shelters in DT, 

• Looking at remembrance day and how we celebrate.
